The Statistical Institute of Jamaica, the country's premier data collections agency, says the country's top five merchandise import trading partners during the period January to May this year were the USA, China, Japan, Brazil and Trinidad and Tobago.
Jamaica imported US$1.19 billion in merchandise goods from the USA during the period; US$268.5 million from China; US$126.5 million from Japan; US$114 million from Brazil and US$97.5 million from Trinidad & Tobago.
