The 16 year old boy who reportedly cut off the penis of a six year old in White Horses, St. Thomas on August 2, made his first appearance in the St. Thomas Parish Court on Wednesday.
The teenager was charged on Tuesday with Wounding with Intent.
In court Wednesday, his attorney, Tamika Harris, requested a Social Enquiry Report and that a psychiatric evaluation be done.
The court then made the order.
The teenager was remanded and is to return to the Children's Court in Yallahs on September 2 when it is expected that the social enquiry and psychiatric evaluation will be available.
The six year old remains in hospital.
