276 new COVID-19 cases, four deaths

There has been a significant increase in Jamaica's daily COVID-19 case count.
 
The Ministry of Health says 276 cases were confirmed on Thursday from 2,534 samples.
 
This resulted in a positivity rate of 28.2 per cent.
 
Almost to 3,000 people have died from COVID-19 since the onset of the virus in Jamaica.
 
The Health Ministry has reported four more fatalities, pushing the death toll to 2,995.
 
Three of the deaths were recorded in St. Catherine and one in Westmoreland during the period from May to November last year.
 
Hospitalisations from COVID-19 have declined to 65.
 
Two of the patients are severely ill and two in critical condition.
