Superintendent Kirk Ricketts, head of the St. Andrew South Police Division
The St. Andrew South Police say 31 people have been charged in relation to the illegal party that was held on Olympic Way on Tuesday night.
Sixteen men and 15 women have been charged under the Disaster Risk Management Act.
The promoter was also charged with breaching the Noise Abatement Act.
Superintendent Kirk Ricketts, head of the St. Andrew South Police Division, says the sound system equipment and other items were seized.
Superintendent Ricketts told Radio Jamaica News that the police saw the party while on patrol.
He urged citizens to abide by the regulations of the Disaster Risk Management Act and to desist from partaking in "authorised events, putting themselves [and] their families in danger of the coronavirus disease."
