Road fatalities for 2022 in Jamaica reached 480 on Saturday, the last day of the year.
As it stands, this is six lower than the number of road fatalities for 2021.
Dr Lucien Jones, Vice-chairman of the National Road Safety Council, told Radio Jamaia that there's still a possibility of this year's figure surpassing 2021, depending on what happens during the remaining hours.
There have been 419 collisions for 2022, a reduction of 20 from the corresponding period in 2021.
