Jamaica continues to record a high COVID-19 positivity rate despite the no movement days to slow the spread of the virus.
The positivity rate is now 47.4 per cent after 536 cases of the virus were confirmed on Monday from 1,090 samples.
Jamaica's overall case count is 76,987.
There has also been another sharp increase in the number of people hospitalised with COVID-19.
Some 805 people are now admitted, up from 753 on Sunday.
The Ministry of Health says 152 patients are severely ill, while 53 are in critical condition.
Additionally, a 46-year-old man and a 65-year-old woman from Clarendon are the latest persons to die from COVID-19 in Jamaica.
The death toll has increased to 1,736.
Another six deaths are under investigation.
