Ann-Marie Vaz's US diplomatic visa revoked

Portland East MP Ann-Marie Vaz

Portland Eastern member of parliament Ann-Marie Vaz has confirmed her US diplomatic visa has been revoked.

She has also been denied a US visitor's visa.

In a statement Wednesday, her husband, Portland West MP Daryl Vaz, said her diplomatic visa was withdrawn when his was cancelled.

He said she made an application for renewal of her expired visitor's visa, and on December 5 when she visited the US embassy in Kingston for her appointment, the visa renewal was declined.

He said Mrs. Vaz is in the process of pursuing the matter with the US embassy in Kingston.
