The security guard charged with the fatal shooting of a mentally ill man in Cheapside, St. Elizabeth had his bail extended when he appeared in court on Wednesday.
Shawn Cole, 38, was arrested and charged for murder days after he was accused of fatally shooting Haile Clacken on June 23. Clacken was shot after climbing on top of an armoured truck.
The court was told on Wednesday that the case file is incomplete as the ballistic report is outstanding.
However, despite the outstanding ballistic report, efforts are being made to fast track the case for transfer to the next sitting of the St. Elizabeth Circuit Court set for November 6.
It was also agreed that a preliminary hearing will be held on September 27.
