Barbados welcomes 122 new nurses from Ghana

Barbadian health officials welcomed 122 Ghanaian nurses at the Grantley Adams International Airport on Monday morning.

They arrived on board Euro Atlantic at around 8:50 a.m. in rainy conditions.

The nurses are expected to improve the current shortage on the island.

Of the new arrivals, 66 will be sent to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and 56 will be dispersed among the polyclinics and the Geriatric Hospital.
