Bruce Golding leads OAS Observer Mission for Antigua-Barbuda election

Former Prime Minister Bruce Golding is leading the observer mission from the Organization of American States (OAS) that will observe next Wednesday's general elections in Antigua & Barbuda.

The Electoral Observation Mission comprises 11 experts and observers from seven countries.

The OAS has announced that during its work the Mission will observe areas such as electoral organization and registries, electoral technology, electoral justice, political finance, and the political participation of women.

The Mission, deployed earlier this week, will meet with government officials, electoral authorities, political leaders and candidates, representatives of civil society and other relevant stakeholders.

On election day, the team will be deployed throughout the country to observe the voting process.
