The GraceKennedy Group Limited says it will be donating $10 million to help strengthen the resilience of the agriculture sector in St. Elizabeth, following the devastation caused by Hurricane Beryl and exacerbated by Tropical Storm Rafael.
Frank James, CEO of GK Foods-Domestic, says $6.25 million of the $10 million will be used to cover 50 per cent of the cost of a new generator for the National Irrigation Commission's pumping station in Hounslow, while the remaining 50 per cent will be provided by the commission.
