BVI relaxes COVID-19 measures amid drop in infections

The British Virgin Islands government has relaxed several COVID-19 measures as it continues to record fewer cases of the disease, milder infections, and reduced hospital admissions.

As of today, travellers, regardless of vaccination status, will no longer need to register for entry clearance and will also not be required to show proof of travel insurance.

However, a negative COVID-19 test must be provided by travellers over age five.

The wearing of face masks or face coverings will no longer be mandated by law.

The Ministry of Health has also ended all mandatory isolation of cases, quarantine of contacts of cases, and contact tracing.
