Clarendon man charged in relation to Canadian woman's death offered bail

The Clarendon man charged in connection with the death of Canadian national Jaeda Pauline Whitehead, was offered bail in the sum of $1 million when he appeared in the Clarendon Parish Court on Thursday.
 
Rory Palmer, 28, is to return to court on June 29.
 
Mr. Palmer, a fisherman of Portland Cottage, was charged last month with the offence of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
 
Ms Whitehead, who arrived in Jamaica on April 30, died in hospital on May 13, a day after she was involved in a physical altercation with Mr. Palmer who is said to be her husband.
 
A postmortem report suggested that she died of injuries sustained during an altercation.
