Following their failed attempt last month the opposition Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) members of the Clarendon Parish Council will on Monday renew their effort to secure the removal of Scean Barnswell, Mayor of May Pen.
On Saturday, Winston Maragh, minority Leader and Councillor for the Rocky Point division said a letter has been sent to Rowhan Blake, the Secretary Manager of the Council.
The Councillors are seeking a special meeting to discuss Barnswell's involvement in the Spalding Market affair.
The JLP Councillors previously made two attempts to have the matter debated at a council meeting but these failed.
Meanwhile, Barnswell is to return to court on Tuesday to answer to the charge of breaching the Contractor General Act.
He is accused of attempting to mislead the Contractor General in the Spalding Market probe.
