Investigators from Counter-Terrorism and Organized Crime task force (CTOC), are now making arrangements to question four men suspected to be linked a string of abductions and robberies across several parishes.
The men were arrested on Thursday by the Constant Spring Police while carrying out robberies in the St Andrew North Division.
The men are said to be wanted for questioning in Clarendon, St Catherine and the Corporate Area.
Investigators say, over the last three months the men have been abducting persons who boarded a Toyota Isis motor car which was being operated illegally as a taxi.
Some of the victims were beaten and forced to hand over the PIN to their bank cards, resulting in the suspects stealing millions of dollars from their accounts.
Head of Operations for the St Andrew North Division, Deputy Superintendent Collin Millaneise, told Radio Jamaica News that a number of stolen items, including cash, purses, handbags and jewellery have been recovered.
“For what it is worth, the matter is heavily under investigation …..we want to have these men properly indentified. We are aksing persons to come forward - we want to put these guys before the court.”
