Nicola Harris, a resident of Damhead in Frankfield, Clarendon
Residents of Damhead in Frankfield, Clarendon are calling for the authorities to address access to their community.
In 2017, two bridges that provided access to the community were either damaged or washed away.
Since then, the residents say they have been forced to make the trek through the river to get to their homes.
Resident Nicola Harris says whenever it rains, the residents are marooned and her children are unable to go to school.
"When di river tek in, if dem in dem affi stay in and if dem out dem affi stay out. It very difficult fi wi; it very difficult. We even have a church over deh, when the rain fall and the river get heavy, church cyah keep.... And when rain get heavy mi can't go work," she explained.
