Attorneys representing defendants in the One Don Gang trial will on Tuesday continue making submissions regarding the prosecution's main witness.
Attorneys for Tareek James, Kalifa Williams, Pete Miller, Roel Taylor and Danovan Richards completed closing submissions in the Home Circuit Court on Monday.
The attorneys reiterated that the defendants were in police custody when the crimes they are accused of committing, took place.
They argued that the witness' questionable evidence has weakened the prosecution's case and urged Chief Justice Bryan Sykes to find their clients not guilty.
Earlier this month, records from the Spanish Town Police Station and the Horizon Adult Remand Centre showed that at least four of the remaining 28 defendants on trial were in custody.
Attorney Esther Reid who is representing Tareek James argued that the prosecution had not provided any ballistic evidence to link her client to the double killing and arson at New Nursery, St. Catherine in 2017.
It was alleged that Mr. James shot a woman with a .4.5 pistol which alleged leader of the One Order Gang, Andre Bryan, also used to kill the woman's partner.
Miss Reid argued that, although the police alleged that they later seized a .45 pistol from Mr. James, no connection was established linking the firearm to any of the murders he was charged with.
