A disabled man died in a fire at his home in Goshen, Clarendon on Monday afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as 66 year-old Slyvenus Ratteary - otherwise called Frazer, a retiree of Old Ground Road.
Mr Ratteary had been confined to a wheelchair due to injuries sustained in an accident that left both his legs broken.
It's reported that about 5:30 p.m., residents observed smoke and flames coming from the two-bedroom house Mr Ratteary shared with his brother.
The police and Fire Brigade were alerted but they arrived to find the house engulfed in flames.
The charred remains of Mr Ratteary were found beside his wheelchair.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
