Douglas Chambers murder trial involving Tesha Miller delayed

The trial of Tesha Miller for the 2008 murder of Managing Director of the Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) Douglas Chambers, was delayed on Monday.

The Home Circuit Court was unable to hear the matter as the judge was engaged in another murder case.

The trial is tentatively set for Wednesday.

Miller is to stand trial on charges of accessory before the fact of  murder and accessory after the fact of murder.

Prosecutors alleged that he gave the order for the murder of the JUTC boss.

Mr. Chambers was fatally shot at the JUTC depot in Spanish Town, St. Catherine.

In July, Chief Justice Bryan Sykes refused an application by the Director of Public Prosecutions for witnesses in the case to testify via video link.

Prosecutors filed the application citing safety of two key prosecution witnesses.
