In the final count of ballots in Monday's by-election in the Clarendon South East constituency, the Jamaica Labour Party's Pearnel Charles Jr gained one more vote to win 6,846.
Independent candidate Dereck Lambert received three more votes, ending with 741.
Of the 41,308 eligible electors, some 7,706 people voted, representing an 18.6 per cent voter turnout.
In a media release Thursday, the Electoral Office of Jamaica, said there were 119 rejected ballots.
The final counted started on Tuesday and concluded on Wednesday.
