Fire guts student dwelling on University Crescent in St. Andrew

Firefighters are working to contain a blaze that gutted a housing complex on University Crescent in Papine, St. Andrew.
 
The fire started around 9:28 Monday morning.
 
No one was injured in the blaze.
 
Senior Superintendent for the Jamaica Fire Brigade in Kingston and St. Andrew, Patrick Gooden, told Radio Jamaica News that eighteen university students who reside at the property are affected. 
 
"The building has been totally destroyed, more so the contents. Aspects of the structure remain in place," he said.  
 
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
