Minister of Finance and the Public Service Fayval Williams says the government remains committed to improving the agility of the civil service.
Mrs Williams says many lessons have been learnt to recover from the myriad of crises that not only impact the civil service but the country as a whole.
She adds that public servants have continually risen to the challenge of meeting the needs of demanding stakeholders.
"We continue to work together to re-engineer processes to reduce duplication and wastage, ensure that our compensation system delivers value for money and implement shared services to improve the delivery of key services in government. We want to continue to develop a strong reputation for our civil service as world class and promote its consistent ability to deliver a high standard of public service across the country. To maintain the standing, we must constantly strive to improve systems, drive efficiency and think innovatively," she urged.
Minister Williams was speaking at Wednesday's Civil Service Long Service Awards ceremony.
