Haiti: Filmmaker's wife kidnapped, other hostages released

The wife of a filmmaker has been kidnapped in Haiti while three Turkish citizens abducted nearly a month ago have been released.

The authorities said the wife of filmmaker Arnold Antonin was kidnapped Tuesday from her residence in Thomassin.

Armed individuals reportedly entered the house, tied up the film maker and the house staff and then kidnapped Mrs. Antonin.

But the 400 Mawozo gang has released three of eight Turkish missionaries kidnapped almost a month ago.

The Turkish nationals were among 12 people, including three Haitians abducted on April 29.

They were kidnapped in a neighbourhood of Port-au-Prince controlled by the 400 Mawozo gang.
