A Jamaica Defence Force soldier drowned during a training exercise at the National Stadium pool on Thursday.
He is Private Jerome McCatty.
McCatty was found unresponsive in the swimming pool.
He was rushed to the University Hospital of the West Indies for medical attention where he was pronounced dead.
