England take unassailable lead over Windies in T20I series

England have taken an unbeatable 3-0 lead over the West Indies in their T20 International series after winning the latest game by three wickets on Thursday night at the Darren Sammy Stadium in St Lucia.  

The English who were set 146 to win, got home at 149-7 in 19.2 overs. Sam Curran and Liam Livingstone made 41 and 39 respectively, while will jacks got 32 against Akeal Hosein who bagged 4-21.

Earlier, the West Indies who were sent in to bat, struggled once again to post a decent total and could only muster 145-8 in their 20 overs.

Skipper Rovman Powell with 54 and Romario Shepherd 30, put together a 6th wicket stand of 73 to rescue the home team from a precarious position of 37-5. Powell's knock included 4 sixes and 3 fours.

Alzarri Joseph who returned to the team after serving a 2 match suspension, chipped in with an unbeaten 21.

Saqib Mahmood and Jamie Overton led the England bowling with 3-17 and 3-20 respectively.

The penultimate game will once again be played as a day/night affair on Saturday also at the Darren Sammy Stadium.
