Thieves broke into the Lititz Moravian Church in the southern parish of St Elizabeth early Tuesday, leaving church members and residents in a state of shock.
Trevor Dawkins, the senior Pastor at the Church, said he was alerted by the watchman and when checks were made four windows along with electrical items were stolen.
“This church is of course the hub around which the community revolves. Much of the fundraising events for church maintenance happens inside of the community and the community supports church activities. So from a financial point of view it is very distressing to the community” Dawkins said.
Items stolen included computers, microphones and a public address system.
This is fourth time the church has been robbed.
