Magisterial recounts: PNP to contest two results

The People's National Party [PNP] has confirmed that it will be contesting the results in two divisions following Monday's local government election, via magisterial recounts.
 
The PNP will be pursuing magisterial recounts in the Llandewey division in St Thomas and Southboro in Portmore, St Catherine.
 
The Llandewy division was closely contested, with the JLP's Andrea Patience being declared by seven votes. 
 
She received 1,316 votes to the PNP's Edwin Marr's 1,309.  
 
In Southboro, the JLP's Damara Lawson received 1,008 votes to 1,005 for the PNP's Everton Shakes.
