Manchester businessman Ricardo Williams was shot dead outside his house at Clifton Heights, Mandeville last night.
Mr Williams, 39, operated Smart Choice Courier.
It's reported that, about 8:10, Mr.Williams and his wife were parked at their gate, awaiting the arrival of one of the company vehicles.
When it arrived, Mr Williams went to open the gate to let the car in.
A man, whom its believed was hiding in the yard, shot Mr Williams then escaped by jumping over a wall.
Neither Mr Williams's wife nor the driver was hurt.
There was no report of a robbery.
