The St. Andrew North Police and Major Investigations Division are trying to establish a motive for the execution-style killing of two teen boys in Stony Hill, St. Andrew on Thursday night.

The boys have been identified as 14-year-old Jumaane Henry, a student of Oberlin High, and 16-year-old Nicquan Whitely, a student of Meadowbrook High.

Deputy Superintendent Daleon Clarke, acting head of St. Andrew North Police, says the boys were attacked about 11:15 p.m.

"Both victims were travelling along the Airy Castle main road on a motorcycle when loud explosions, sounding like gunshots, were heard. The police were summoned and, upon arrival, they were seen lying on the ground, suffering from what appears to be gunshot wounds in the head," he recounted.

The boys were taken to Kingston Public Hospital, where they died while undergoing treatment.

DSP Clarke said a 48-hour curfew will be imposed in Airy Castle, starting at 6 p.m. Friday.
