The Old Railway Station in Portland was destroyed in a fire Saturday morning.
The building, which was occupied by the Portland Art Gallery, Portland AIDS Committee, Portland Youth Centre and Port Antonio Marching Band, was gutted in the blaze which started about 4 o'clock.
A few items from the art gallery and band were saved.
Hopeton Cargill, who operated the art gallery, told Radio Jamaica News that the destruction of the gallery was a great loss for Portland.
He estimated his own loss at millions of dollars.
It's not clear what caused the fire.
