A police constable who sustained severe injuries in a crash in St Mary on Saturday, has died.
Constable Adrian Pendley died yesterday in hospital.
The policeman, who was assigned to the St Mary Traffic Department, was injured Saturday along the Galina main road.
It's reported that Constable Pendley was driving his motorcycle along the main road heading towards Port Maria sometime after 1pm, when the driver of a motor car swung open the front door, knocking the policeman off his motorbike.
Constable Pendley was rushed to hospital for treatment.
Radio Jamaica News spoke with Head of the Area 2 Police Headquarters, Assistant Commissioner Calvin Allen, who attended a grief counselling session with officers from the Oracabessa station.
