Jamaicans are being promised that they will shortly get more opportunities to interact with Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller, with the resumption of islandwide parish meetings.
The meetings will be organized by the Social Development Commission (SDC), and are aimed at bringing members of the executive to the public to hear their concerns and respond.
Paul Burke, SDC Chairman, told RJR News that the town hall meetings are expected to begin prior to the budget debate. The budget debate is normally held in April.
Mr. Burke added that the emphasis this time is to go to parishes which have not yet hosted meetings with the Prime Minister.
