Commanding Officer for the St. Catherine North Division, Superintendent Hopton Nicholson, says a second man has been charged in connection with the shooting at a wake in Point Hill, St. Catherine, last month.
He is 20-year-old bus conductor Javaughn Dwyer, otherwise called 'JT', of Cudjoe Hill in the parish.
Superintendent Nicholson says he was charged on Thursday with seven counts of wounding with intent; possession of a prohibited weapon; unauthorised possession of ammunition; using a firearm to commit a felony; and being a part of, participating in, or facilitating serious offences by a criminal organisation.
In meantime, Superintendent Hopton Nicholson listed a number of persons of interest in relation to last month's attack at the wake as well as other crimes committed in the parish.
They are Kemar Miller, otherwise called 'Pantyman'; Shane Thompson, also known as 'Shaneyman'; Brian King or 'Briko', as well as other men known only as Maurice, Ratti, Bob, and Bear.
The men are being asked to immediately report to the Spanish Town Criminal Investigations Branch.
One man was killed and seven others shot and wounded on August 21 when gunmen fired on a group of people who had gathered at the wake being held for the grandmother of reggae artiste Christopher Martin.
