Six arrested in separate drug busts in 24 hours

Six persons have been arrested and narcotics valued at more than $5 million seized following police operations over the last 24 hours.
                     
The cops reported that they discovered seven pounds of cocaine and arrested two men after they intercepted a car in Mammee Bay, St. Ann on Monday.
 
Meanwhile, a British visitor was arrested at the Norman Manley International Airport after cocaine weighing more than two pounds was found concealed in his luggage.
 
A Jamaican who was also at the airport about to board a flight to Barbados was arrested after sniffer dogs alerted the police to five pounds of ganja in his luggage. 
 
In addition, the Narcotics Police along with members of the St. Catherine South Police Division carried out an operation in Portmore where they seized 16 pounds of ganja and arrested two persons.
