A man who was being sought for questioning in connection with the death of a Canadian woman is in the custody of the Clarendon police.
The suspect, who was held on the weekend, is to be questioned in relation to the death of Jaeda Pauline Whitehead.
Ms Whitehead, who arrived in Jamaica on April 30, died in hospital on Saturday, a day after she was involved in a physical altercation with the suspect.
Investigators reported that the 29-year-old Canadian was injured during a dispute with her male companion at a location in Clarendon.
The injured woman was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead.
