Suspect in church killings charged with murder

 
 
A member of  Pathways International Kingdom Restoration Ministries in Montego Bay, St. James has been charged with murder in connection with the October 18 incident on the church compound.
 
He has been identified as Andre Ruddock.
 
Head of  the Jamaica Constabulary Force's Corporate Communications Unit Senior Superintendent Stephanie Lindsay told Radio Jamaica News that Mr. Ruddock was charged on Monday.
 
Taneka Gardner, 39, and an unidentified man were found dead at the church in Albion Meadows. Their throats were slashed. 
 
The police stormed the church following reports that congregants were being killed as part of  a religious ritual.
 
Kevin Smith, head of the obscure religious group, who was arrested just more than a week ago, died in a three-vehicle crash on Monday morning while being transported by the police to Kingston.
