Teachers' Services Commission to approve principal for Christiana High School

The Christiana High School Board is still awaiting the decision of the Teachers' Services Commission (TSC) for its approval of a principal who was selected by the board.

It is expected that a decision will be made shortly,  following the resignation of the acting principal this week due to ncreasing pressure created over controversial photographs which emerged on social media.

The photos, which are sexual in nature, have generated significant discussion, and the police have confirmed that they are probing the matter.

Lyn confirmed that the teacher resigned on Wednesday, and officers from the Ministry of Education met with school officials on Friday.
The Ministry will appoint a temporary principal, but Lyn expects the post to be filled permanently once the TSC makes its next move.

He  issued an appeal to concerned parents.

“Have no fear   whatever we saw on social media about threats here and there, those who are doing it - please discontinue because we don’t want to have any disruption .The matter has been dealt with …we should have a smooth reopening at the Christiana High School come Monday morning,” Lyn said.
