Motorists will have to pay an increased toll rate for travel on the North-South Highway (Edward Seaga Highway) effective next Monday.
The Jamaica North-South Highway Company published the new toll rates for the Caymanas, Angels, Linstead, Unity Valley, Lydford and Mammee Bay legs of the network on Sunday. The rates range from a low of $250 for a class one vehicle travelling on the Angels leg to $5,900 for a class three vehicle on the Mammee Bay leg.
News of the upcoming price adjustments comes a little more than a week after the toll increase for Highway 2000 East-West took effect amid howls of protest from members of the public.
That new rate structure was for the toll plazas at Portmore, Spanish Town, Vineyards and May Pen.
