By Clinton McGregor

Two Jamaican men who were captured last month along with two Haitian nationals in a drug operation in St. Ann, have been released on bond.

Anthony Ferguson, 47 and Andre Gordon, 23, were each offered bail in the sum of $600,000 when they appeared in the St. Ann Parish Court.

But, the two Haitians were remanded and are to return to court on October 10.

Investigators reported that on September 6, the narcotics police conducted an operation at a house in Runaway Bay, St. Ann.

Two hundred pounds of ganja and a quantity of US counterfeit notes were reportedly seized in the raid.

The Jamaicans and Haitians who occupied the premises were arrested and later charged.

The Jamaicans are represented by attorney Oswest Senior-Smith.
