Two killed in separate Clarendon shootings

Two persons were killed in separate incidents in Clarendon on Sunday.
 
The deceased are 47-year-old farmer Oneil McLean of New Harbour Village Phase 3 in Old Harbour, St. Catherine and 18-year-old Jermaine Simpson of Bucknor in May Pen, Clarendon.
 
It was reported that Mr. McLean and another man were tending to his cows in the community of Content in York Town when they were pounced on by two gunmen.
 
They opened fire hitting Mr. McLean, who died.
 
The other man, who is a licensed firearm holder, challenged the gunmen, but they escaped.
 
In the other incident, about 7:40 p.m., Mr. Simpson had just returned from a party and was securing his motorcycle when explosions were heard.
 
He was found with bullet wounds to the upper body and was pronounced dead at hospital.
