Two wanted men captured by the St. Elizabeth police

Two men who were being sought after they engaged the police in a shootout in Jacks Gate in New Market, St Elizabeth Friday night have been captured.
 
Superintendent Dwight Daley, officer in charge of the St. Elizabeth police division, told Radio Jamaica News that the men were captured sometime after midday as they were heading to Westmoreland.
 
An illegal firearm was also reportedly seized.
 
It's reported that, about 9:00 p.m., Friday, residents of Jacks Gate called the New Market Police when five men who aroused their suspicion were seen lurking around the community.
 
The police responded and were reportedlyh shot at by the men.
 
During an exchange of gunfire, one man was killed and two others taken into custody.
