An arrest warrant has been issued for the executive member of the Working People's Alliance in Guyana, Tacuma Ogunseye for attempting to incite hostility or ill-will on the ground of race.
According to the police bulletin issued yesterday, the grassroots politician is wanted for several serious offences and acting in contravention of the Racial Hostility Act.
However, the WPA has declared that Ogunseye, whose controversial remarks at a public meeting on March 9, prompted the police action, is not going into hiding.
Ogunseye had made several claims about the ruling People's Progressive Party Civic using the police and Guyana Defence Force in the past to execute of African descent.
