Cavalier join Waterhouse as JPL automatic semi-finalist

Cavalier join Waterhouse as the two automatic semi-finalists in the Jamaica Premier League following their 1-0  win over Vere United on Saturday at the UWI captain Horace Burrell Centre.

Kyle Ming scored the goal that decided the match in the 84th minute as cavalier jumped to 18 points, the same as Mount Pleasant but with a better goal difference. Vere will now go to the playoffs.

Meanwhile, Tivoli Gardens missed out on the automatic spot after being held one all by Molynes United. Tyrique Wilson gave Molynes the lead in the 79th minute.

However, Tivoli hit back three minutes later through Stephen Barrett to take a point. Tivoli with 17 points will go to the playoffs, while Molynes with 7 will prepare for next season.

The four playoff teams vying for two semi-final spots are Tivoli Gardens, Vere United, Mount Pleasant Academy and Harbour View.
