Dysfunctional wins Overnight Allowance contest at Caymanas Park

The 7-2 chance Dysfunctional with Oneil Mullings aboard for champion trainer Wayne DaCosta, landed the Overnight Allowance race over a mile on the midweek programme at Caymanas Park. The 6 year old bay gelding came home in 1 minute, 39-and-one-fifth of a second to finish ahead of Uncle Vinnie, Fayrouz and My Elle Belle.

Elsewhere on the programme, the 1-2 favourite Dyna’s Pride with apprentice Reyan Lewis astride for trainer Gary Subratie, scored a comfortable victory in the Henry George Harrison. Sr Memorial Cup, a Restricted Allowance V event over 6-and-ahalf furlongs.

Champion apprentice Christopher Mamdeen rode a three-timer to push his tally for the season to 58 wins, 14 clear of fellow apprentice Reyan Lewis.
