Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky says his country experienced its largest aerial attack from Russia, involving 728 drones and 13 missiles in several waves.
He criticised the attack for undermining peace efforts.
The overnight assault followed US President Donald Trump's decision to resume weapons support to Ukraine, reversing a recent suspension.
President Trump also expressed increased frustration with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
