Foga Road High defeated Old Harbour High 2-1 on Thursday in action from the ISSA DaCosta Cup at Foga Road High. But perhaps the biggest talking point from the game was the early start as the match began at 11:00 am. The fixture was moved from 1:00 pm to 11:00 am due to threats of showers in the area.
Last week ISSA's Competitions Officer George Forbes revealed plans to move up matches to 1:00 pm due to the persistent rain and lightning storms that have affected matches across the island. The Foga Road/Old Harbour match is the first fixture this season to be played before 12 noon.
Meanwhile, in other games on the day, Maggotty clipped Lacovia 2-1; it was 1-1 between Belair and Decarteret College while Mile Gully blanked May Day 3-0.
