Reigning world 100 metre champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce produced a meet record to win the women's 100 metres to end
her season at the World Athletics Continental Tour Silver Level meet in Switzerland on Tuesday.
Fraser-Pryce sped to 10.78 seconds to win the event ahead of the Swiss pair of Mujinga Kambunji 10.99 and Ajla del Ponte 11.11 to erase the previous meet record of 10.95 secopnds which was held by another Jamaican legend, Merlene Ottey. Another Jamaican, Natasha Morrison was 4th in 11.17.
Olympic finalist Natoya Goule was also victorious, claiming the women's 800 metres in 1 minute, 58.20 seconds.
Nigel Ellis 10.22, was 4th in the men's 100 meters which was won by Canadian Andre Degrasse in 10.06 ahead of American Fred Kerly 10.11.
Jaheel Hyde with 49.73 seconds, ended 5th in the men's 400 metre hurdles which was won by Brazilian Olympic bronze medalist Alison dos Santos in 48.15.
Leah Nugent 56.28, placed 7th in the women's equivalent which was won by Olympic bronze medalist Femke Bol in a meet record 54.01.
Olympic 400m finalist Candice McLeod placed 5th in the women's 200 metres in 24.18. Kambunji returned to take that event in 22.36.
