Hamstring injury forces Yohan Blake out of Suzhou Diamond League

2011, 100 metre world champion Yohan Blake has withdrawn from Saturday's Suzhou Diamond League meet in China due to a hamstring injury.

Blake logged 10.43 seconds to finish ninth in last Saturday's opener at the Xiamen Diamond League meet also in China.

Blake’s withdrawal means only national champion Rohan Watson and 2024 60 metre world indoor bronze medallist Ackeem Blake will be the Jamaicans in the event on Saturday.

Eight other Jamaicans will be involved at the meet including olympic gold medallist in the 110 metre hurdles Hansle Parchment.

World champion Danielle Williams and Megan Tapper will line up in the women's sprint hurdles, while 2019 world champion Tajay Gayle and Carey McLeod are listed for the long jump.

Stephanie-Ann McPherson will compete in the women's 400m, Danniel Thomas Dodd in the shot put and Christoff Bryan in the men's high jump.
