Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA) president Garth Gayle has hinted that the Jamaica International Invitational (JII) meet may return with a new look as they seek to revive the well-known local track meet.
The meet which has not been held since 2019, was cancelled once again this year due to issues securing funding.
Speaking on Hitz 92 FM's Sports Grill on Wednesday, Honorary Treasurer at the JAAA Ludlow Watts said despite the lifting of Covid-19 restrictions, there was not enough time for organizers and sponsors to do the necessary planning to execute the meet this year.
