More track and field meets could be coming for local athletes, according to president of the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA) Dr Warren Blake.
So far, the Velocity fest has been the only local meet since the COVID-19 lockdown, but Dr Blake says plans are in place for additional meets.
Meanwhile, Dr Blake who is coming to the end of his second term in office, says a decision on whether or not he will contest the upcoming elections is expected by the end of the month.
Blake first took office in 2011, just after the untimely passing of sitting president, Howard Aris, and served the last year of Aris' term in office. He was elected in 2012 to continue as president, and then again in 2016.
